York CIU member Dennis Jackson outpaced strong – and younger – opposition to win race walking’s Dunnington Fayre 10k.
The 65-year-old finished in 56 minutes and 51 seconds.
His son, Graham, a fellow York CIU member, was fifth, in one hour and 12 seconds.
The popular event attracted a 20-strong field, with competitors travelling from as far away as Scotland, the Isle of Man and Birmingham to take part.
