PART of the York outer ring road was closed so a fallen tree could be removed from the carriageway.
The obstruction blocked part of the eastbound carriageway yesterday, close to the junction of Tadcaster Road with the A64, and traffic built up in the afternoon when one lane of the dual carriageway was closed to protect workmen removing the tree.
The carriageway was completely reopened after the short closure.
