A fugitive who sparked a police hunt has been arrested.
Police in York last week appealed for the public’s help in finding Abigail Alexander, also known as Abbi Tudor, who was wanted for prison recall for failing to comply with the terms of her release licence. She was sent to prison last October for assault and a public order offence.
Alexander, 41, was arrested in the Walmgate area of York on Monday evening.
Last year, Alexander was given a 12-month council injunction banning her from every council property across the city without written permission from the authority.
She was the first person in York to be given one of the orders – imposed under the Housing Act 1996 – after housing bosses received a string of complaints about her lifestyle.
