THE British nation is a proud one, it’s the leadership that lets us down. David Cameron and George Osborne are products of the wealthy few who own this country and have always been at the heart of the Tory Party.
They have come through the development route, available exclusively to this establishment who alone can make this investment.
When they have to, they give token party membership to lesser beings, to satisfy the modern inclusive society. Nick Clegg was allowed in without membership, but with similar personal ambitions.
Together, they are the most qualified people to take the difficult decisions needed to get the working population to pay for the awful mess they and their city friends have made of our standing in the world, and the financial ruin we are again fighting to survive. Nothing new. We keep putting them in.
Watch the rush as their financial buddies pick up what’s left of our national assets at bargain prices and sell their services back to us at huge profit, while we go cap in hand to foreign parts for the essentials of life.
I voted for Nick and I feel guilty for doing so.
George Appleby, Clifton, York.
