ALL things rural will be celebrated at the 65th Tockwith Show on Saturday. Hundreds of animals will be on show during the event, at Tockwith and District Showground, Cattal Moor Lane, Tockwith near York, including horses, pigs, sheep and dogs, along with country displays, fruit, vegetables and flowers. There will be a Yorkshire food tent, a flat cap chucking competition and a dog dash.

Attractions include celebrity chef cooking demonstrations, and a farrier’s competition shoeing shire horses.

All sections will have experts on hand to explain and demonstrate their involvement and the ways of the countryside, plus locally produced food at sensible prices.

Admission is £7.50 for adults, while children under 16 are free.
