A NORTH YORKSHIRE head teacher has retired after 25 years in the classroom.
Pat Jarvis had been head at Barwic Parade School in Selby for the past six years.
She had previously taught at Barlby Bridge School in Selby, and also at York’s Knavesmire and Haxby Road primary schools, spending 15 years in York.
Her husband, Karl, was also a teacher in York before retiring after serving at Hob Moor and Wigginton primary schools in York. In retirement, Pat is hoping to learn new skills, do lots of walking and exploring in Cumbria and spending time with her two daughters, son and her three grandchildren.
