STARGAZERS could see the beautiful Northern Lights as far south as Yorkshire tonight.
And we would like to receive your photos of this magnificent spectacle if you witness it.
The flickering lights of the Aurora Borealis are usually best seen in the Arctic Circle over the winter period, but experts have said that a series of huge explosions on the sun caused the lightshow to be seen in Denmark and Germany last night.
The British Astronomical Association said that the phenomenon could be seen from Britain tonight if skies remained clear.
It said there was a 45 per cent chance of seeing some activity and a 10 per cent chance of a major lightshow.
It advised observers to look high in the night sky at about midnight.
