Terry Deary, the best-selling children’s author of the infamous Horrible Histories, visited historic York.
The author was at St Saviour’s Church yesterday to help launch a new Roman Gladiator themed exhibition at DIG.
The exhibition has been inspired by the widely publicised 80 headless Roman Gladiator skeletons recently excavated in York, and highlights the cities importance in the Roman world as a provincial capital.
Terry was also promoting his latest book, the Second World War inspired Put Out The Light.
