A 45-YEAR-OLD man has been arrested after a number of cannabis plants were discovered in his York home.
The Class B drug was discovered by police following reports that there was a strong smell of cannabis outside the flat in Fossway in the Heworth area of the city.
The smell had been reported on Wednesday evening and the flat was entered in the early hours of yesterday. Officers removed 17 plants from the property.
The man, who was in the flat at the time, was arrested on suspicion of producing class B drugs. He has been released on police bail.
