A CAR rolled over before coming to rest on its roof in a smash on the York-bound stretch of the A64 near Tadcaster.
A silver Vauxhall Zafira collided with a blue Ford Focus shortly before 11am yesterday at Headley Bar.
North Yorkshire Police said the occupants of both cars escaped with minor injuries, including bruising and whiplash.
One lane of the carriageway was closed for three hours to allow a clear-up operation to take place.
