A POST-MORTEM examination will be carried out today into the death of a University of York student who died after a suspected drug overdose.
Police said they have now ruled out any suspicious circumstances into the death of the 23-year-old who was found collapsed in his home in Seventh Avenue, Tang Hall, on Wednesday.
Police and paramedics were called to the property at about 1.25pm, yesterday following reports that a man had collapsed.
Attempts were made to resuscitate the man, who has yet to be identified by police, but he was later pronounced dead at York Hospital.
The man’s family, who live in Durham, have been informed of his death.
A spokesman for North Yorkshire Police said the man will named later today.
