The efforts of Paul Botterill (180 and 19), Chris Thompson (17, 21), Martyn Turner (16, 18) and Paul Cropper (16, 21) for the leaders cancelled out those of Shepherds’ Shaun Day (180 for 19) and Heath Scaife (21, 21).

Rob Sargent (18, 21) and Matt Wilson (18, 21) starred for Cueball in their demolition of Sun.

Acomb closed the gap on second by beating Crescent ‘B’ 9-1, thanks to Steve Atkins (18), Mark Mason (18), Jack White (180 for 16) and Keith Turner (180), with Paul Helm providing the only success for Crescent.

Stu Limbert (18), Jamie Harding (122 bull c/o and 17) and Steve Limbert secured an 8-2 win for Greyhound over Crescent ‘A’.

Derwent’s Russ Greaves (116 c/o for 15, 140 bull c/o for 21) and Pete Fowler (21) played well but could not prevent a 7-3 defeat to Tang Hall, with Tony Lansbury (167 c/o) their key performer.

Fulfordgate’s George Tams and Steve Swithenbank helped to overcome Holgate 7-3, despite the admirable efforts of John Crowe (15) for the losing side.
