STUDENTS from a York college joined forces with staff and designers from York St John University to create a poster campaign to challenge stereotypes.
More than 50 students from Norton College took part in the project, with faculty of arts staff and professional graphic designers, to produce a poster to promote positive images of young people.
Vanessa Simmons, outreach and research officer at York St John and organiser, said: “This type of activity is often life-changing for students in terms of building confidence and raising aspirations. A significant number state their ambition is to continue into higher education after finishing school, something they didn’t think possible prior to this summer school.”
