TWO more men have been arrested in connection with the vicious attack on a motel manager from Pocklington.

Humberside Police said the men, aged 55 and 20, both from the Grimsby area, were arrested and taken into police custody this afternoon.

A spokeswoman said a 20-year-old man, from South Killingholme in North Lincolnshire, who was arrested yesterday had been kept in custody for additional questioning.

She said the arrests were in direct connection to an appeal made on Wednesday by the victim and the police, during which motel manager Michael Brown lost the use of an eye and his face was shattered. Graphic photographs showing the extent of his injuries were released by his partner.

She said detectives urgently needed to speak to anyone who might still have information about the incident, which happened on July 8.

Anyone able to help police should call 0845 60 60 222, quoting log number 371 of 04 August 2010.

Detective Inspector Colin Waddington from Beverley CID has thanked everyone who has called in with information since the appeal was made, saying the amount of calls received had been tremendous.
