AN ELDERLY couple were taken to hospital following an oven fire at their home in Poppleton Road, York.
Fire crews from Acomb and York were called to the property at 1.20pm on Thursday to tackle the fire, which caused damage to the kitchen floor.
North Yorkshire Fire & Rescue Service said a man aged 90 and a woman aged 92 were taken to York hospital as a precautionary measure.
