AN EAST YORKSHIRE MAN was ordered to pay more than £1,000 after waste was found illegally dumped in a village.
At a hearing at Bridlington Magistrates Court, John Peter Lannan, 59, of North Back Lane, Bridlington, pleaded guilty to failing to transfer controlled waste to an authorised person.
He was fined £200 and told to pay prosecution costs of £857, as well as a victim surcharge of £15.
The waste, dumped in black sacks, was found by council street cleaning staff at Boynton Lane in Grindale.
The waste included enough evidence for a prosecution under Environmental Protection Act 1990.
