A MAN was due appear in court today in connection with an assault in Pockilngton which left a hotel manager blinded in one eye.
Robert Elliott, 20, was set to appear at Beverley Magistrates’ Court on charges of conspiracy to commit Grievous Bodily Harm with intent.
Elliott, of South Killingholme, North Lincolnshire, was arrested on Thursday, and questioned at Scunthorpe and Goole police stations.
Two other men were arrested yesterday in connection with the incident, aged 55 and 20, both from the Grimsby area, and remain in police custody.
On Thursday, The Press printed an appeal for information from hotel owner Michael Brown, 53, who lost the use of an eye in an incident in the car park of the Yorkway Motel at Pocklington in July.
