A MAN was arrested on suspicion of carrying a knife in Selby.
The police were called by a member of the public on Thursday at 10.10pm after a man was seen banging on the door of a property in Dixon Gardens, off Charles Street.
The witness said the man appeared to be carrying a knife or a pair of scissors.
The alleged offender then made his way towards the Co-op supermarket.
A 23-year-old man was later arrested in Butler Street.
