ARSONISTS have struck for the third time this year at Emergency crews from Selby, York, and Tadcaster and as far as Knottingly were called to the fire at Gateforth Park, near Thorpe Willoughby, on Thursday afternoon.
A spokesman for North Yorkshire Fire & Rescue Service said: “Two definite seats of fire were identified, one in an office block, and the cause has been put down as deliberate.”
The site, which consists of a number of former mushroom growing sheds and office blocks, suffered “100 per cent fire damage” according to officers at the scene.
The derelict site was last hit by arsonists in April, only one month after firefighters were called to tackle a previous fire there.
