A-level pupils at Selby College celebrate a 99.1 per cent pass mark.
Star student Hannah Roddie picked up four A-levels, including two of the much-coveted new A* grades in biology and geography, as well as two As in chemistry and mathematics.
The college principal, Allan Stewart, said: “I am absolutely delighted with our students’ success.”
Celebrations also took place at Sherburn High School, where students achieved a 99 per cent pass rate, with 32 per cent of those passes at grades A* to B.
The school’s head teacher, Martyn Sibley, said he was very pleased with the results and said students could take justifiable pride in what was the culmination of years of hard work.
