TV SIGNALS across East Yorkshire are likely to go digital in September next year.
Digital UK plans to announce the date next month, about 12 months before the switch.
The move will mean anyone with an old analogue television has to replace it or get a set top box.
For people already watching digital TV through an aerial, the main change will be a far stronger signal.
Many people in places such as Beverley and Bridlington struggle with a weak signal because at the moment it has to be kept at 30 per cent strength so the analogue signal gets through.
