A WOMAN who was airlifted to hospital following a crash near York was fighting for her life in Leeds General Infirmary.
The woman, who is in her 60s, was a passenger in a red Honda car that was involved in a collision with a blue Subaru on the Escrick to Skipwith road, just before 3pm yesterday.
Police said the woman, who is from Lancashire, was last night in a “critical condition”.
The driver of the Honda, who is thought to be the woman’s husband, was discharged from York Hospital, and the driver of the Subaru, a local man who was airlifted to York Hospital, was in a stable condition.
