The Lord Mayor of York brushed up on her sewing skills when she toured the Quilt Museum to take part in educational workshops for children.
Coun Susan Galloway toured the museum’s workshop display entitled Crafty Landscape Calendars, which aims to help improve young people’s sewing skills and their interest in quilt-making. The mayor also visited the exhibition Freedom To Stitch: The Emergence Of The Embroiderer As An Artist which opened on Monday, and is a display showing the evolution of the process of prints, surface markings and drawings.
