FIREFIGHTERS were called to an Indian restaurant in the centre of York yesterday after flames broke out in an office.
The alarm was raised just before 7.40am at Akbars in George Hudson Street and fire crews were on the scene until about 9.15am.
The fire started in an office above the restaurant, with the flames catching hold of a pile of paperwork on top of a filing cabinet, but only caused slight damage and nobody was injured.
