I read the letters from Dr John Wilson and Mary Donne regarding the problem of snow on the pavement (Letters, December 11).

Luckily for them, I have the answer to their prayers – it’s called a snow shovel.

These are readily available at all good hardware stores for about a tenner, and not only do they clear the snow from your pavement, but for a little extra effort they will also work on your elderly neighbours’ pavement. And the biggest bonus of all, is that you will feel invigorated and healthy once you are done.

Try it – it really works and gives you a feeling of independence from the council that so blights your lives.
