CAN I follow up A P Cox’s letter “Not clear to me…” (November 24), and also ask our traffic experts on the council to explain the reasoning behind the new junction at the top of the hill near Heslington Church, Windmill Lane and the new university structure?
At this junction they have installed traffic lights, a ramp (or sleeping policeman) and a single carriageway.
Why is the council determined to create hold-ups and not let traffic flow freely or shall I be cynical and wonder if it has anything to do with the university?
