Malton Cons ‘C’ lifted the Malton, Norton & District Snooker League’s five-a-side aggregate trophy after beating the club’s ‘B’ team in the final.
Roger Ward beat Andrew Sherry 96-28 in the opening frame, giving the ‘C’ team a healthy 68-point advantage.
However, Malton Cons ‘B’ hit back with Danny Williamson beating Dominic Spiteri 64-51.
The clash of the two captains saw the ‘C’ team’s Simon Weatherill lose 112-70 to John Dyson, reducing the aggregate arrears to only 13 points.
Phil Hart edged the ‘C’ team further in front with a 54-51 win over Dave Cottle.
The outcome rested on the final frame between the ‘C’ team’s Steve Turner and David Coulthard and Turner held on to give the ‘C’ team victory by 45 points.
