I had high hopes for the Lib Dems in the elections until they first lowered their sights from STV to AV then dropped it altogether before going into this coalition.

I wrote to Nick Clegg; they should have gathered what support there was in other parties on this issue and left Labour and Tories to fight their own corners. I could see the reckless attacks on services coming, if they took the course they were obviously taking.

The pictures of Big Society Eric Pickles telling everybody to tighten their belts, as he cuts government money to councils and tells parish councillors to take the flack for the miseries that will cause, is sick comedy.

They will be the only ones to enjoy the joke!

People are getting very angry and it will be very difficult, if not impossible, for Nick Clegg and party to go back to where they were.
