POLICE are still trying to trace a vital witness following disorder at a York City football match in November.
The man was in the crowd when Rotherham United played York City in the FA Cup first round on Saturday, November 6, at the Don Valley Stadium in Sheffield.
The supporter is believed to be a York City fan.
Officers believe the man may have vital information that can help them investigate incidents of disorder which broke out during the match.
Detective Constable Chris Ryan, of North Yorkshire Police, said: “I ask that the man or anyone who can help identify him, contacts me as a matter of urgency.”
The man, or anyone who can identify him, is asked to phone Det Con Ryan, based at Selby Police Station, on 0845 6060 247. They can also phone Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
A number of York fans were involved in trouble in West Yorkshire and South Yorkshire en route to, before and after the FA Cup game, which ended in a 0-0 stalemate.
