POLICE in East Yorkshire are urging women to make a checklist before heading out for a night out this Christmas.
The checklist includes planning their journey home, letting someone know where they will be going and when they will be home, and eating something before they drink.
The message is part of Humberside Police’s rape awareness campaign, which aims to reduce the number of sexual assaults during the party season.
Det Supt Christine Kelk said: “By arming potential victims with some key advice, we feel this will help reduce the number of sexual offences.”
