A FATHER and daughter from Escrick hope to have Christmas all wrapped up for children in York by releasing a Christmas CD.
The single, Christmas All Wrapped Up, performed by Richard Hinds and his ten-year-old daughter, Emily, has been released to raise money for York children’s charity SNAPPY (Special Needs Activities and Play Provision for York).
The pair will also perform the single at Escrick Primary School Christmas Fair this Friday.
Emily chose to raise money for SNAPPY a couple of years ago when she wanted to help a school friend who had ties with the charity. When SNAPPY heard her father was a keen performer they suggested he put his talents to use to create a Christmas single.
Richard said: “We enjoyed making this single thoroughly, and it would not have been possible without Minster FM, who helped write and record the song.”
Richard is one of a group of friends aiming to raise £4,000 to fund a sensory room for SNAPPY.
