POLICE have released a CCTV image of a man they believe to be responsible for criminal damage and outraging public decency.
North Yorkshire Police said the man entered the toilets of Vivaz nightclub in Scarborough at about 1.35am on Thursday November 25 and urinated in the middle of the floor, with no attempt to use the urinals.
He then flooded the toilets by pulling the inlet pipe from the cistern and away from the wall, causing about hundreds of pounds worth of damage.
PC Dave Bowley, of Scarborough Police, said: “This was a senseless act which not only caused great inconvenience to the owners of the club but also cost them in the region of £200.
“The images we have obtained are of good quality and give a clear picture of the man we would like to speak to.”
Anyone with information that could help the police with their enquiries is urged to contact PC Dave Bowley, of Scarborough police, on 0845 6060247, or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
