THE mother whose three children were killed in a house fire in Bridlington more than four weeks ago still does not know her children are dead.
Samantha Hudson, 27, of Fitzwilliam near Pontefract, has been in a coma since the incident, and remains unaware of the deaths of her children.
Maddie Hudson, three, Anthony Hudson, five, and William Beale, nine, were all killed in the fire at their home in Clarence Avenue, Bridlington, on November 11.
Their mother Samantha was rescued from the burning building and remains critically ill in hospital.
Her boyfriend Andy Martin, 44, from Leeds, told a newspaper that Miss Hudson was now breathing without the help of a ventilator, but did not know who would tell her the sad news when she finally wakes up.
He said: “If her family is there when they do bring her round, they could be the ones. If she comes round and it’s only the nurses there, they are duty-bound to tell her.
“She idolised her children, we both did. It was a privilege to be part of their lives.”
The children were buried in Bridlington on November 29.
