A FAMILY is lighting up its street every night with Christmas cheer until next year to help cancer victims.
The Williams’ annual spectacular in aid of York Against Cancer gained extra poignancy when they lost their near-neighbour Anne Muncaster, 68, to cancer.
They have built up their collection of outdoor festive lights over ten years and for the last three years have used it to raise funds for the local charity.
“Everyone knows someone who has been affected,” said father Paul Williams, 46. “We thought it would be a good idea.”
His daughter Ellie, ten, is a keen fan of the annual winter wonderland that covers the entire front of the house, a side wall, part of the roof, some of the front garden, some of the garden wall and some of the far side of the road.
