A 62-YEAR-old man who was hit twice by a car on Lendal Bridge, York on Thursday night, is in a stable condition in Harrogate hospital.
Police are looking for witnesses to the incident in which the man was knocked down by a car and then hit again by the same car while he was on the ground.
The car, a silver-coloured Peugeot 206, which was travelling from the direction of York Minster, knocked the man down as he tried to cross the road from the nearside of the vehicle. Anyone who saw the incident, or saw either the pedestrian or vehicle prior to the collision, should contact road policing officer Yvonne Taylor on 0845 6060247.
