Extra routes have been added to York’s gritting network.
Nineteen secondary routes have been added to the existing network, which includes the following streets: Bad Bargain Lane, Balfour Way, Earswick Chase, Eastfield Lane, Garden Flats Lane, Church Lane (Skelton), Common Lane (Dunnington), Holly Tree Lane, Hospital Fields Road, Moor Lane (Murton), Orchard View, Shilton Garth, Southfields, Stablers Walk, The Copper Beeches, The Manor Beeches, The Old Village (Earswick), The Vale and Water Lane (Dunnington).
The council has also distributed 50 one-tonne salt bags across the city for residents and businesses and refilled over 270 salt bins for members of the public to use on the public highways and footpaths. Anyone wanting to report an empty salt bin should phone 01904 551551 or visit york.gov.uk
