ANIMALS got in on the act as the story of Christ’s birth was told as part of a festive fun day in York.
The open-air production was part of an annual Christmas event held at Gateway Church, Front Street, in Acomb.
More than 300 children were handed presents when they visited Santa at his grotto.
Faith Turner, one of the event organisers, said: “It was a fab day. Everyone enjoyed themselves and we had hundreds of people coming in all day for craft classes, making table decorations, face painting and or course Santa’s Grotto.
“The atmosphere was full of love.”
