CITY of York Council’s rubbish and recycling collections will be weekly from today to Friday, December 31.
There will be no change to collection days and the council will continue to provide a fortnightly recycling collection.
The Friends of St Nicholas Fields will not be making recycling collections between Christmas and New Year and the council will not be collecting green garden waste.
All collection services will return to normal from Monday, January 3.
The council’s three household waste recycling centres will close on Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Year’s Day.
