NEIGHBOURS told social workers they were worried about a 70-year-old Acomb pensioner because he kept his curtains closed and switched off his intercom, a York inquest heard.
Their actions led to Louis Robin Scott’s doctor prescribing him medication for depression. But he took his own life a week later at his Thoresby Road home.
The inquest into his death recorded a verdict of suicide.
