ALMOST £60,000 of council funds could be ploughed into resurfacing roads and footpaths in Haxby and Wigginton.
Councillors and residents have welcomed proposals by City of York Council to resurface Briergate, Springwood, Appleby Glade and Pinelands in Haxby, as well as make improvements to the footway in Church Lane, in Wigginton.
Coun Paul Firth said: “It is good to see that despite the difficult financial climate, the council is still looking to invest in improving our local roads. It has been consistently shown as being one of the top priorities for residents.”
