KNARESBOROUGH-based pub company Market Town Taverns is asking customers to raise a glass to the forgotten few this Christmas in bid to raise funds for the charity Shelter.
The specially commissioned We Three Kings Ale, brewed by award-winning Saltaire Brewery, will be sold throughout December at local taverns, Brigantes in York & the Tithe Bar & Brasserie in Northallerton with 50p from every pint sold directly benefiting Shelter.
Kevin Jones, manager of Brigantes on Micklegate, said: “Homelessness is an isolating and destructive experience and homeless people are some of the most vulnerable and socially excluded in our society so we are only too happy to help all we can this festive season.”
