THE damage caused in London I am sure was done mostly by a rent a mob, as well as some students who are looking for an excuse to cause damage.
What amazes me most is student unions and leaders blaming everyone else for what happened and taking no responsibility themselves.
For example, one complained there were no toilet facilities and by the time the police allowed them to leave they had no way of getting home.
So maybe they should have either not gone or made some alternative arrangements to get home in case they missed the last train/bus.
But that means taking responsibility.
This unfortunately is a sign of the times, where no one will take responsibility for their own actions; from the drunk expecting the police or ambulance driver to run them home because they have spent all their money in town, to the mothers who expect the authorities to look after and parent their children.
We should be encouraging a work ethic in them rather than letting them live off the state and grab what they can.
This, again, is all about responsibility, unfortunately a forgotten word in our society today.
