WITH your assistance I would like to thank, most gratefully, the people who helped me when I fell near M&S in Parliament Street on December 17.
Two women retrieved my glasses and handbag, and covered me with a jacket; also, two care nurses looked after me until the ambulance arrived, very quickly indeed.
The ambulance personnel were efficient and kindness itself, and advised me to be checked over at A&E.
I was wonderfully cared for and thoroughly looked over.
My very sincere thanks to the doctor who was kind, caring and thorough, the lovely sister who treated the bleeding and student nurse Sam with the lovely smile.
I cannot explain or express my gratitude to all those people. We are fortunate to live in the area where there are so many people who care.
Cecily Sterriker, Nether Poppleton, York.
