THANK you for your excellent coverage about Citizen’s Advice Bureau clients who are struggling to pay for food (The Press, December 23).
We had an immediate response from BBC Radio York asking for an interview; and then we heard from an elderly gentleman who had put together a box of food, having read in The Press about the plight of some of York’s citizens. He planned to donate that to the Women’s Refuge.
It’s wonderful to think that there are people who had a rather better Christmas than they must have thought possible. We are not open over the Christmas holiday, but there is lots of useful information at adviceguide.org.uk
Every good wish to everyone from York CAB.
Rosemary Suttill, Projects manager, York & District CAB, Blossom Street, York.
