I couldn’t agree more with Brian Sellers about the plan to site a giant wheel behind the York Art Gallery (Letters, December 24).
There’s so so much more to our city for visitors than the cheap thrill of an aerial view.
We should be encouraging them to explore the city at ground level as opposed to getting a quick snapshot of it – literally – from the air. We simply don’t need a wheel – and it detracts from the real attractions.
