STAFF at a North Yorkshire renewable energy business have been left flushed with pride after their makeover of a public toilet won a national award.
The scheme by Clean Energy (Yorkshire) at the Fisher Street conveniences in Knaresborough has been recognised by the British Toilet Association, which has given it the prize for Best Eco-Friendly Facilities in its Loo Of The Year Awards.
The company, led by husband and wife team Spencer and Tamsin Cassidy, was commissioned to install a solar-powered system.
