EMPLOYEES from a York Marks & Spencer store have raised an impressive £6,550 for local charity SNAPPY.
Over the last 12 months staff the Parliament Street shop have raised funds through a variety of events.
They entered a team of 23 in the York Dragon Boat race and held a charity version of ‘Where has the knitted toy travelled to?’, a competition from Harry Hill’s television show TV Burp.

Store manager Justine Brook, said: “We are absolutely thrilled with the amount raised and would like to thank everyone who has supported our fundraising efforts. We are firmly committed to working with local communities and it’s great to see how much our employees, customers, friends and family care about supporting a great local cause.”
