A VILLAGE school in the East Riding has been given an outstanding report by Government school inspectors.
Holme-on-Spalding Moor Primary School was inspected by education watchdog Ofsted over two days in November, and rated outstanding in areas including overall effectiveness and the quality of teaching.
The report said: “This is an outstanding school. It has an excellent early years foundation stage.
“Pupils’ outstanding behaviour is a key factor in their success. They thoroughly enjoy their learning, work hard and play together energetically. The school ripples with laughter because pupils find learning fun.”
Chairman of governors Chris Lemming said: “This is a very special acknowledgement by Ofsted. It is extremely difficult for a school to get a high recognition under the current Ofsted arrangements and is great credit to everyone involved.”
