YORK PR consultancy The Partners Group provided mums of premature babies in York Hospital’s Special Care Baby Unit with a special Christmas present this year.
The business donated £300 as a Christmas gift to the unit, which will be used to buy a printer so nurses can give parents a photograph of their baby to take home while their baby is cared for in the unit.
Partners Group made the donation to the unit in recognition of the care provided to the baby son of director Monica Green. Jonathan was born six weeks prematurely in April.
Monica said: “Jonathan was premature but thankfully he was in good health. He spent two weeks in the baby unit and it was very hard not having him at home immediately.
“The photograph provided great comfort and I’m delighted that we can help to fund the purchase of a printer to ensure all parents receive this precious memento.”
Ann Elliott, of the Special Care Baby Unit, said: “It is wonderful to receive the support of local businesses such as The Partners Group.
“It can be very stressful for parents whose children are being cared for in the unit and a photograph of their newborn baby is very precious.”
