A YORK pub is hosting a fundraising event with a difference next month, with sponsored indoor motor racing.
The Bumper Castle in Wiggington Road is playing host to a Scalextric night, called Bumper To Bumper, on Saturday, February 12, and want local businesses to get involved.
Chrissy Blows, pub manager, said: “There’ll be a huge track for the big races, and a smaller one to practice on too.Races cost £2 to enter, or businesses can sponsor a race for £10.
“All money will be split between the Special Care Baby Unit at York Hospital, and the children’s ward.”
All cars and tracks will be provided by Monk Bar Model Shop, and donations will be welcome on the night.
